Care Deeply

Since the founding of Kamcare, and in the hearts of the founders for many years before this, certain values have been guiding us. Our context and the challenges that need to be addressed change continuously, but our guiding values will remain, and will continue as a reminder of why this organization we exist.

Our name says it, the story of where we come from affirms it, and the various day to day activities that we are busy with stand as proof that we care. At Kamcare caring means becoming part of peoples lives and assisting the whole person on their journey, not simply fixing problems.

Developing Sustainable Community

Community is a value guiding us at Kamcare. We are focused on listening intently to the community around us, and be sensitive to the needs as well as unique gifts to be found. We firmly believe that all development work should be done in close relationship with local leaders, and that long-term sustainability is key. 

Training Tomorrows Leaders

We believe that the world can be changed through training. Through training we believe that people can grow to overcome challenging circumstances and emerge as contributers to their own communities and the broader South African society.
